Youth Ministry Parents Meeting
A. Plan for the Youth Wednesday Evenings
The following is the normal youth night.
NOTE: Some weeks may have a service event, some evenings we may go to Chic-Fil-A, as we plan them out.
Schedule of night
6:30-6:40 Ice Breaker
This is a time that we have fun with the kids doing an event that they all can enjoy and compete against one another.
6:40-6:45 Announcements
Constantly communicate with the students what we are doing in the ministry.
6:45-6:50 Prayer Time
This time is a period for prayer.
6:50 – 7:00 Music
This the worship time when we get a few moments to sing various songs about God. two songs.
7:00 - 7:20 Teaching
This is a period when we focus on God’s word.
7:20 - 7:30 Small Group Time
Small group time is a time of review.
Breakdown of Small group Time
Prayer – ask the student about their week, check in with needs they have been having.
Update Creative discipleship and go over quiet times.
Go over the lesson if the students have questions about the lesson.
B. Upcoming Lessons
The first series is the “Roots” lessons. The quote from the website about the series:
This four-lesson series covers the essential topics of salvation, personal quiet time, Scripture memory, and spiritual disciplines. These lessons do not need to be taught in order and can be used at your discretion in your teaching calendar.
C. Goals for the Youth Ministry
The end goal is that the student would develop biblical habits, grow in the knowledge of the faith, and to be a ‘Christian on his feet,’ a living active faith. This will be accomplished with the use of the Word of Life (WOL) program. This is not a teenager babysitting program, but a avenue to grow and serve Christ, for them.
The WOL curriculum is geared towards evangelism, apologetics, felt needs, and spiritual disciplines. This is accomplished in the teachings on Wednesday and the creative discipleship program throughout the rest of the week. The creative discipleship program has the student doing a daily bible quiet time, doing acts of service, inviting friends to youth ministry, reading good Christian books, and being active in the church.
The WOL ministry is actively involved and so they honor the students doing the program by awarding scholarships. As the student does the creative discipleship program, he/she can earn scholarships for summer camp and for attending the Word of Life Bible Institute, a two-year bible college!

The reason for events in the beginning is to reach out to student friends and evangelizing the lost.

Fundraisers
This section is for the future – For helping students raise money for camps, missionaries, and so on.
Dinners, breakfasts, and so on.
